Next-Generation of Microalgae Farming for Tomorrow's Nutrition

Photosynthesis stands as one, if not the most critical reactions for life on Earth. It transforms solar energy into biochemical energy, sustaining virtually all life forms and contributing to the creation of an oxygen-rich atmosphere. Additionally, it plays a role in the formation of energy-dense fossil fuels crucial for the development of modern society. However, the relentless exploitation of photosynthesis-derived products has led to environmental challenges, particularly climate change. 

To ensure humanity's sustainable existence on Earth, there is an urgent need to significantly increase global photosynthetic output. 

Microalgae emerge as a promising solution, being highly efficient photosynthesizers capable of providing sustainable resources such as protein, fertilizer, biofuel, bioplastic, and carbon capture. Despite their potential, traditional microalgae cultivation in water has proven costly and inefficient. Omaiko recognizes the critical role microalgae can play in fostering a sustainable future and has innovatively taken microalgae out of the water. By eliminating operational bottlenecks and achieving unparalleled yields, Omaiko employs a novel semi-dry vertical biofilm farming platform to pioneer the next generation of microalgae farming for cost-efficiency and rapid scalability.

Our first mission is to rapidly scale the production of sustainable and healthy protein to meet the demands of the rapidly growing market for protein-enriched foods, aligning with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Founded in 2022 in Kiryat Shmona, a thriving AgTech and FoodTech region in northern Israel, Omaiko combines scientific knowledge with market experience and product innovation. Our dynamic founder team is committed to transforming the future of nutrition and microalgae farming. With increasing market interest, significant breakthroughs, and strong partnerships, Omaiko is advancing towards production and growth, positioning itself at the forefront of agricultural and food innovation.
